Amanda Gennermann

Amanda graduated from Waukesha North in 1996. While at North, she participated in many activities. Amanda played basketball and softball all four years of high school, and she also participated in volleyball for two years. She was involved in the National Honor Society and Delta Epsilon Phi (German Honor Society), as well as German Club, Yearbook, the Leadership Corps, and was the President of the Junior Board.
After high school, Amanda attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and Afro-American Studies. She went to the University of Denver College of Law in 2000, where she graduated in 3 years with a Doctorate of Law.
Throughout the years, she has been very active in the community. Amanda has volunteered in leadership positions at various organizations since 2019. Some of these roles include: Pro Bono Liaison Co-Chair at the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Mentor for new attorneys for the Dane County Bar Association, and WI Chapter Secretary of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Amanda currently practices law as an attorney and partner at Pines Bach LLC in Madison, WI. Prior to this, she had founded Gennerman Law Group where she worked from 2004 until 2020. Amanda specializes in immigration law and represents clients before USCIS Field Offices and the EOIR/Immigration Courts and BIA.
Furthermore, Amanda co-founded the Community Immigration Law Center (CILC). She regularly trains volunteers for their “walk-in” legal clinic and presents immigration topics to local organizations and Wisconsin schools.
